First assistant coach

Sipke Hulshoff

Sipke Hulshoff is Liverpool FC's first assistant coach and followed Arne Slot to the club in the summer of 2024.

Hulshoff also served as Slot's No.2 at Feyenoord; their working relationship first started in 2015 during their time together at SC Cambuur Leeuwarden.

The Reds head coach said of his second-in-command: "Because we work together for such a long time, I think the both of us know exactly what we want when it comes to game model, playing style – and I think that helps."

Hulshoff possesses vast coaching experience and took his first steps in youth roles with Cambuur and FC Groningen.

He headed to Red Bull Ghana in 2011, initially as a youth coach, and progressed there to become senior team manager for a year-and-a-half.

Hulshoff would have a stint at Al-Arabi SC in Qatar before a return to Cambuur, where he and Slot jointly managed the side in the 2016-17 season. He was then an assistant at FC Volendam between 2019 and 2021.

The Dutchman took charge of Feyenoord's U21s in 2021 and then joined Slot's coaching set-up at the Eredivisie club a year later.

He was also part of Ronald Koeman's staff for the Netherlands national team.
