Health care assistant Lynsey Ahmed joined Liverpool FC from a role with the NHS at Aintree Hospital in April 2019.

Lynsey initially worked as a medical administrator at the Academy but later combined that with being part of the club’s testing programme for players and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lynsey would organise testing for men’s team’s staff and players and would also travel to away matches to carry out tests before those games.

She has since remained part of the men’s team set-up and the responsibilities of her position as health care assistant include the co-ordination of cardiac screening, blood sampling, enhanced infection control and illness prevention.
