Aaron Briggs joined Liverpool FC as first team individual development coach in July 2024, linking up with head coach Arne Slot as part of his backroom staff.
He arrived on Merseyside with a wealth of experience as both a coach and analyst, working at VfL Wolfsburg in Germany as an assistant coach in his last club-level role before making the move to Merseyside.
Prior to that, he took his first steps in football with Blackpool and Preston North End having graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a sports management science degree.
Briggs would later go on to spend nine years with Manchester City across various roles, working his way up to becoming a senior first-team analyst after time working with the academy and women’s team.
A move to AS Monaco followed, where he was first employed as an analysis coach, before later becoming assistant coach and head of football methodology at the Ligue 1 club.
Briggs has also previously worked with UEFA and FIFA on a consultancy basis and holds a UEFA A, B and Pro licence.
