Robin Sadler

Robin Sadler joined Liverpool FC's backroom team in September 2024 as a first-team physiotherapist.

He made the move the Reds having gathered a wealth of experience within the football industry, tallying more than 24 years of work in a professional environment.

Robin completed a BSc Hons at Ulster University in physiotherapy, before starting his working career with Manchester City, where he would spend the next 16 years honing his craft.

Alongside his professional work he completed an MSc in manual therapy at Manchester Metropolitan University.

In 2016, Sadler joined Derby County as head physiotherapist, spending four years with the Rams ahead of next moving to Manchester United as head of physiotherapy and rehabilitation in 2021.

After leaving his role in February 2024, Robin spent the following summer working as a consultant physiotherapist with Scottish Premiership side Rangers, before joining the Reds' backroom staff on a full-time basis.

His role at the club focuses primarily on the men's senior team players, aiding and supporting physical performance daily in both training and matches to help achieve maximum standards.

"There are some excellent sports medicine practitioners here at Liverpool. It's exciting to work here and to see what we can try to achieve together," he said.

"My role is primarily to work and support performance to enable players to fulfil their potential both in training and out on the pitch on a matchday."
