Sophie Roman Haug, forward - Liverpool FC
Norway international forward Sophie Roman Haug completed a move to Liverpool FC Women in September 2023, joining from AS Roma.
Haug arrived at the Reds with a goalscoring record of around one in two across her club and international career, having played for LSK Kvinner for seven seasons before switching to Roma in early 2022.
Five of those seven years with LSK Kvinner in her homeland ended with league title success and four of those championships were coupled with Norwegian Women’s Cup glory.
Haug’s contributions included 49 league goals and she continued to exhibit her prolific ability at Roma, where she netted 12 times in 39 appearances in all competitions and added a Serie A title to her medal collection.
Internationally, she has represented Norway through the age ranks up to senior level and scored a hat-trick against the Philippines when they reached the Women’s World Cup last 16 in 2023.
In her debut season with the Reds, Roman Haug netted nine goals as Matt Beard's side secured a top-four finish in the Barclays Women's Super League.
Almost unstoppable in the air, the No.10 provides an added dimension to the forward line and a nightmare for opposition defences.
