Olivia Smith, forward - Liverpool FC
Versatile attacker and midfielder Olivia Smith signed for Liverpool FC Women in July 2024.
A Canada international, Smith joined the Reds from Sporting CP, where she spent the 2023-24 campaign, her first season as a full professional.
She netted 13 goals and produced nine assists in 18 league appearances during her solitary campaign in Portugal, as Sporting finished runners-up to Benfica with Smith named the league's Best Young Player and Revelation Player.
At just 15 years and 94 days, Smith was made her country's youngest-ever player in November 2019, and she featured at the 2023 Women's World Cup, receiving the Young Player of the Tournament prize.
She had also previously been named Canadian Young Player of the Year.
Smith began her career at North Toronto Nitros in her home nation and then moved to Penn State University before her switch to Europe in July 2023.
Upon signing for Liverpool, the new No.11 said: "It's definitely a prestigious club as a whole and also for my dad it's very important for him – this is the club he's been watching and following since he was younger. So, it's very cool to actually be a part of this thing and get this opportunity."
