Mental wellbeing and psychological performance consultant

Trevor Gray was appointed as mental wellbeing and psychological performance consultant for Liverpool FC Women in September 2024, having previously worked with individual players in the squad.
Born in Walton, Gray grew up in Aintree Village before relocating to London and the south east, where he runs a private psychotherapy practice.
His practice specialises in the performance worlds of sport and the performing arts, working with actors, singers, musicians, dancers, writers, presenters and producers working in TV and film, as well as professional and academy footballers, cricketers, athletes, basketballers, golfers, show-jumpers, swimmers, Team GB gymnasts, rowers and fencers.
He has worked in performance all his life, as a top 10 music recording artist, producer and composer, as well as a football academy youth development coach, building extensive knowledge and skill in performing in the arts, media and sport at the highest level.
A lifelong Reds supporter, he was composer, musician and producer on three men’s FA Cup final songs – Anfield Rap (1988), Pass & Move (It’s the Liverpool Groove) (1996), and Ring of Fire (2006).
He is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM).
