LFC WomenStandard Chartered support family activities ahead of key LFC Women fixture
LFC legends John Barnes and Fara Williams will be special guests at Prenton Park this Sunday as Liverpool FC Women take on Durham in a crucial league encounter.
The former players will be part of a fantastic day of free family activities ahead of the 12pm BST kick-off in the FA Women’s Championship.
Main club partner Standard Chartered are providing a range of free activities, as well as free transport this Sunday, as part of their mission to inspire the next generation of women in football, both fans and players alike.
Barnes, who made more than 400 appearances and scored more than 100 goals in a glittering Reds career, will take part in a pre-match Q&A at 11am in the fan zone outside the ground.
He will be joined by midfielder Williams, who won two league titles with LFC Women in 2013 and 2014.
Standard Chartered are also providing the following to keep the kids entertained ahead of the game:
- a penalty shootout goal
- a speed cage
- a Panna cage
- a portable soccer stadium
A live DJ will build the atmosphere, while two football freestylers will be showing off their skills and a special photo booth will help preserve some special memories for all the family.
The fan zone opens at 10am and three free coaches will leave Stanley Park car park next to Anfield at 9.30am, 10am and 10.30am to allow fans to get there early and enjoy all the pre-match entertainment.
Supporters can park and ride, picking their vehicle up on return after the match.
