NewsMo Salah climbs to third on LFC's European Cup appearance list
Mohamed Salah rose to outright third on Liverpool’s all-time European Cup appearances list on Wednesday night.
In starting the Champions League game at RB Leipzig, the No.11 brought up his 69th match for the Reds in the competition – which he and the club won together in 2019.
Only two players have ever made more appearances in the tournament for Liverpool: Istanbul 2005 winners Jamie Carragher (91) and Steven Gerrard (87).
Salah moved clear of John Arne Riise, who totalled 68 outings and was another member of the squad that lifted the fifth of the Reds’ six European Cup titles.
