NewsInterview: Teagan Micah previews Liverpool's trip to Man Utd in WSL

The Reds visit Leigh Sports Village for a 12pm GMT kick-off on Sunday looking to get back to winning ways in the top flight after back-to-back losses to Chelsea and Everton.

Matt Beard's side currently sit six points behind United in the table, but they did the double over Marc Skinner's team while beating them to a top-four finish last term.

On the return of the WSL after the international break and Sunday's game…

We are looking forward to this one. We did very well against Manchester United last season but that is last season now and it is what it is. We take each game as it comes and our focus now is Sunday.

On the 6-1 win at Newcastle United in the Women's League Cup last time out...

I hope it gets our forwards in a good rhythm and [gives] a bit of confidence for all of them on the park. It was really good for us to score lots of goals and we were happy with that performance.

On a strong belief within the squad that they can get back to winning ways in the WSL…

I think so, for sure. It's early days in terms of the season but I think it just shows the quality of the league now with teams catching up to each other. In every game you don't know what's going to happen so we just take every one as it goes.

On her own return to fitness after an injury lay-off...

I'm back and playing again and I'm happy. It was frustrating for me because I just rolled my ankle again in training. It was really upsetting but I had my mum come over to support me, which was really nice, and all of the girls were really great with me.

On representing Australia during the international break and playing against Brazil…

That was a good game. We lost unfortunately but I think we could have been a bit more clinical. They are a very physical team, a quality team and it was good to get the minutes in.

On Liverpool adapting their game without injured striker Sophie Roman Haug…

We have to adapt a little bit without Sophie but to be fair we have a lot of other quality strikers here who can come in and do their job and I think we showed that against Newcastle, so hopefully they can show up on Sunday for us.
