NewsCeri Holland injury update
The Welsh FA has provided an update on Ceri Holland after she sustained an injury on Friday night.
The Liverpool FC Women midfielder was stretchered off the pitch during the final stages of her country’s UEFA Women’s Nations League tie with Denmark in Cardiff.
Holland had earlier scored an excellent equalising goal for Wales, who were eventually beaten 2-1 on the evening.
“Following swift action by the FAW medical team at last night’s match after Ceri Holland’s injury, assessments will continue between club and country medical teams,” the Welsh FA said in a statement today. “The leg injury is not as serious as first feared.”
Further updates on Holland’s fitness will be provided in due course.
