Last Friday, our Premier League Primary Stars team supported a Crucial Crewz Event at Anfield.

Last Friday, our Premier League Primary Stars team supported a Crucial Crewz Event at Anfield.

Along with Merseyside Fire Service, Merseyside Police, Bully Busters, Cells Project and KABS Fitness, the team welcomed local schools in both the morning and afternoon to take part in a range of different activities and interactive sessions which focussed on life skills, personal growth and self awarness as well as the importance of physical mental and emotional wellbeing.

The workshops were themed around:

Healthy Body and Healthy Minds

Making positive choices

Water Safety Team building/survival skills

Embracing positive futures

Developing our support networks.

Over the day we saw over 214 pupils take part in the 15-minute sessions which allowed them to pick up essential knowledge and skills from the community organisations that attended. This was then followed by a fun quiz led by Bullybusters with prizes up for grabs.

There was lots of positive feedback from the schools who attended:

Whiston Willis- “A great day! A very informative event providing valuable information for the children on local services in their area. Thanks to all involved!”

St Joseph’s the Worker- “Thank you for such a fantastic day the children were really engaged and benefitted from all of the key messages”

St Albert’s- “Brilliant event! Everyone was extremely friendly and informative. It was a fantastic experience for all the children. Thank you for all of the organisations involved”

Northwood Primary- “Brilliant workshops which were very interactive. All staff were very knowledgeable, and children remained fully engaged throughout the sessions. From a staff point of view, it is good to contact local agencies who can help our school!”
