Goalkeeper Rachael Laws is currently enjoying her second spell with Liverpool FC Women, having been a Women's Super League title winner with the Reds in 2013.

That success came while on loan from her first club, Sunderland, with Laws making nine appearances under Matt Beard.

She returned to Merseyside in the summer of 2020 following two years in the WSL with Reading and has since been a model of consistency between the posts.

Laws played a major role in the team securing the FA Women's Championship title in 2021-22 and with it a return to England's top flight.

The Newcastle-born stopper registered 13 clean sheets in the league – a tally that set a new club record for a single season and earned the division's Golden Glove award – to underpin a 20-game unbeaten run for Beard's side.

Ahead of Liverpool's 2022-23 WSL campaign, Laws committed her future to the club by signing a new contract, before making 17 starts in the top division as the Reds secured a seventh-placed finish and consolidated their WSL status.

In August 2024, Laws penned another new contract at Liverpool to extend her association with the club, stating: "I'm buzzing, I'm absolutely buzzing! This club means so much to me and it's like my second home.

"I've been here a long time now to know what the club means to myself, my family and my friends even. They are always asking, so to sign a new deal here means the world to me."
