England U19 international goalkeeper Faye Kirby completed a move to Liverpool FC Women from Everton Women in September 2022.

The Scouser was brought in to bolster the Reds' goalkeeping group ahead of a 2022-23 season that would see her gain opportunities for Matt Beard's side.

On her move across the city, Kirby said: "I'm excited for what's to come. It's a good club, a big club and hopefully many experiences to come.

"When I first heard about the interest in coming to the club, it excited me and it only took a few conversations with Matt and Joe [Potts] to make me want to make the move.

"Obviously the girls had a big year last year and being part of the next journey will be something special. Playing at the top level is what everyone wants to do and being given this opportunity, I feel like I couldn't pass on it."

The stopper made a debut for the club in the Continental League Cup and then started three times in the Barclays Women's Super League near 2022-23's conclusion - with her form earning the team's Young Player of the Year award.

In July 2023, Kirby joined Aberdeen Women on loan until the end of the calendar year but her time in Scotland was cut short by an ACL injury sustained during a match in September.

While continuing with her rehabilitation, Kirby's spell as a Liverpool player was extended in September 2024 after the club took up an option in her contract.
