Liverpool FC has more than 300 Official LFC Supporters Clubs (OLSCs) across 100 countries worldwide.
The Reds' fanbase is famous for its passion and loyalty, cheering on both Jürgen Klopp and Matt Beard's squads whether on Merseyside or watching from afar.
Our We Love You Liverpool feature aims to bring supporters closer together to learn more about each other wherever they are based around the globe.
Whether in the UK and Republic of Ireland, on Merseyside itself, in North or South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia or elsewhere, fans provide the very foundations that the club is built on.
Here, we meet OLSC Iceland...
Tell us about the OLSC...
OLSC Iceland was formed on March 26, 1994 with around 30 members. This month we celebrate our 30-year anniversary. Today we have around 3,200 members and we're still growing; Iceland only has a population of 388,000 people.
How special is it to have the supporters club where you are?
Very special. We have a lot of events throughout the year, including our annual festival, a golf tournament, a family day and a lot of flag days both in the capital and around the country. Once a year we also bring a former player to our annual festival. Last year it was Dirk Kuyt. We have also had Steve McManaman, Jamie Carragher, Robbie Fowler, Sami Hyypia, Patrik Berger, Vladimir Smicer, Dietmar Hamann, John Barnes, Bruce Grobbelaar, Neil Ruddock and others.
It must give you a sense of community and connection to Liverpool...
Yes, the Liverpool community is very tight, strong and respectful at all times. We have nine board members at OLSC Iceland, which is made up by four women and five men. It is the pride of the history and the great atmosphere around the club which makes it phenomenal to be a Liverpool supporter.
Do you hold meet-ups for games?
Yes, we do that a lot both in the capital – Reykjavik – and also 'bring flag' days around the country if weather allows.
What is your favourite memory together as an OLSC?
Oh my, of course it is very special to get a legend once a year to visit us here, but I think it would be when we won the Premier League a few years ago. We hosted a massive party to celebrate.
