Reaction'Special' - Alexis Mac Allister on emotions of Liverpool late show at Forest
A hard-fought Premier League clash on Saturday at the City Ground appeared to be heading for a stalemate as stoppage time ebbed away.
But with the Reds’ last attack, Mac Allister lifted an inviting pass into the Forest area that substitute Nunez met with a flicked header into the bottom corner.
The win means Jürgen Klopp’s men move four points clear at the top of the table ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal playing on Sunday and Monday respectively.

On Liverpool’s dramatic goal to win it…
So, a special day for us. To win it like that is not easy, we came to a tough place. In that moment I knew it was the last minute and I just had to put it in [the box]. Then Darwin did the rest. As always, he’s an important player for us. He’s back, so we are very happy.
On how difficult a match it was…
It was very difficult. In the first half we needed to make runs in behind, we didn’t do it. Then second half, we did it a little bit more. We know there is no easy game in the Premier League, this is a tough place, you can see the atmosphere. So, very happy because it’s three points and now we move on and we think about Thursday.
On having to keep going and maintain belief…
I think everyone could see that we were always positive. You could see Virgil [van Dijk] and our leaders always keeping the team very positive, and that’s very important to keep going until the end. We are a very good team, a very good group with nice players on and off the pitch. That’s really important to be always positive.
On the result meaning the Reds will definitely be ahead of Manchester City in the table when they meet next weekend and whether that is a psychological advantage…
Well, I don’t think it means that much. It’s just one game. We know that they are a very good team, they are second. But Arsenal are there, there are a lot of teams there. It will be a great battle, that’s for sure, and we will do our best to win the game.
