TransferSepp van den Berg signs new LFC deal and joins Schalke on loan
Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg has signed a new long-term contract with the club and completed a loan move to German side Schalke 04 for the rest of the 2022-23 season.
Van den Berg, who joined in the summer of 2019, committed his future to the Reds by penning an extension before heading to the Bundesliga.
The Netherlands youth international goes back out on loan following successful spells in the Championship with Preston North End in the previous two campaigns.
Van den Berg has made four senior appearances for the Reds since his switch from PEC Zwolle in his home country and was named on the bench for all four Premier League fixtures so far this season.
