Luke Chambers made his long-awaited return from injury for Wigan Athletic during a busy weekend for Liverpool’s on-loan players.
The full-back saw his first match action for the Latics since early October as he was named in the starting line-up against Cambridge United.
Chambers featured for 62 minutes of the League One contest, with Wigan securing a 1-0 victory on home soil.

Elsewhere, Nathaniel Phillips helped Derby County to a 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, while Lewis Koumas featured in the first half of Stoke City’s 3-2 loss at Coventry City.
In League Two, Rhys Williams was a second-half substitute for Morecambe as they were beaten 2-1 away at MK Dons.
Goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek was involved in Forest Green Rovers’ 1-1 away draw at York City in the National League.
Over in the League of Ireland, James Norris completed the first half of Shelbourne’s 1-0 defeat by Drogheda United.
And in La Liga, Stefan Bajcetic played the full game for 10-man Las Palmas as they lost 1-0 on the road at Real Betis.
