Match reportLiverpool reach fifth round of Women's FA Cup with 5-0 win at West Ham
Liverpool advanced to the fifth round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup on Wednesday night by beating West Ham United 5-0 away from home.
An own goal had the Reds ahead inside three minutes of the rescheduled round-four tie at Chigwell Construction Stadium, before Leanne Kiernan doubled the lead later in the first half.
The Hammers had been reduced to 10 players by the time Grace Fisk, Lucy Parry and Sam Kerr increased the advantage for Matt Beard's side.
The victory sets up a trip to Women's National League North outfit Rugby Borough on Sunday February 9 in the next stage.
A front-footed start from the visitors was rewarded with a lead fewer than 180 seconds in.
Gemma Evans' in-swinging corner was flicked on at the near post by Yana Daniels and took a final touch off Camila Saez on its way to the back of the net.
West Ham had Viviane Asseyi's header chalked off for offside before the Reds doubled the score in clinical fashion in the 18th minute.
A corner from the hosts had been successfully cleared, which allowed Olivia Smith to immediately launch a breakaway. The charging Canadian then brilliantly spotted the run of Kiernan, who went on to round goalkeeper Megan Walsh and finish into the unguarded net.

The Hammers' challenge of remaining in the competition grew ever more difficult when Amber Tysiak was sent off for a heavy challenge on Taylor Hinds towards the end of the first half.
Kiernan was denied at point-blank range by Walsh in the final opportunity of an opening period that could hardly have gone better for Beard's team.
They picked up from where they left off after the interval, the third goal coming in minute 48 and via another corner when Fisk directed Marie Höbinger's delivery past the 'keeper with her thigh.
Daniels nearly added the fourth but that would arrive past the hour mark from substitute Parry, who was released by Sophie Roman Haug and kept cool in front of goal to open her senior account.
The night got even sweeter as Liverpool's January arrivals combined to complete the scoring 20 minutes from time, Kerr nodding in a corner delivered from the left by Julia Bartel.
