NewsLiverpool to face Leicester in Carabao Cup third round
Liverpool will host Leicester City in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
The Reds’ participation in this season’s competition is set to begin with a home tie against the Championship side, who advanced with a 2-0 win at Tranmere Rovers in round two.
Third-round matches are scheduled to be played in the week commencing September 25, with confirmed fixture details to follow on Liverpoolfc.com.

Winners under Jürgen Klopp in 2021-22, Liverpool have lifted the League Cup on nine previous occasions in total.
The Reds and the Foxes last met in the competition during that season, with Klopp’s men winning the quarter-final on penalties after a 3-3 draw at Anfield.
