NewsLFC record-holder Ben Woodburn joins Preston North End
The 22-year-old’s contract expired on Merseyside this summer having risen through the ranks with the Reds and graduated to the first team from the Academy.
Woodburn became the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool history at 17 years and 45 days in November 2016 – a title he still holds – when he netted in front of the Kop during a League Cup tie against Leeds United.
The Wales international totalled 11 appearances for the club in addition to several loan spells in recent years.
He spent time with Heart of Midlothian last season in the Scottish Premiership and has now made a move to Deepdale after becoming a free agent.
“16 years at this amazing club. Thank you for everything,” Woodburn posted on social media.
Everybody at Liverpool FC wishes Ben the best of luck in his future career.
