NewsLatest on Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ibrahima Konate fitness from Arne Slot
Arne Slot expects Ibrahima Konate to be fit for the Carabao Cup final but Liverpool are still waiting to discover the extent of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury.
Alexander-Arnold was forced off in the second half of Tuesday night’s Champions League last-16 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain, with Konate then needing to be substituted during extra-time.
The Reds’ next match comes against Newcastle United at Wembley on Sunday.
When asked on Wednesday afternoon if he has any more information on the duo, Slot told Liverpoolfc.com: “Not on Trent because it is too early to say.
“With Ibou, we expected only it to be that he was tired or he had some cramps so we are hoping and expecting that he will be ready to play Sunday again.”
