Klopp and Henderson pay respects on Heysel Stadium disaster anniversary
Jürgen Klopp and Jordan Henderson today paid their respects on the 37th anniversary of the Heysel Stadium disaster.
Thirty-nine football fans lost their lives prior to the European Cup final between Liverpool and Juventus on May 29, 1985, due to the tragic events that took place in Block Z of Heysel Stadium in Belgium.
Reds manager Klopp and captain Henderson were joined by club CEO Billy Hogan in laying wreaths at Anfield’s Heysel memorial, while flags across all club sites are flying at half-mast throughout the day.
