LFC WomenKatie Stengel injury update
Liverpool FC Women have received an injury boost ahead of their Vitality Women’s FA Cup clash with Chelsea on Sunday.
Katie Stengel underwent a scan on Thursday after taking a heavy blow to the face during Wednesday’s Continental League Cup tie against West Ham United at Prenton Park.
It had been feared the 30-year-old American may have suffered a fracture to her jaw in the incident, but a scan has revealed there was no break.
She will now be fully assessed ahead of the Kingsmeadow cup meeting before a decision is made on her participation.
