ReactionHarvey Elliott: Wolves victory gives us confidence
The Reds claimed a 1-0 win at Molineux Stadium in a third-round replay, with Elliott providing the all-important, match-winning strike in just the 13th minute.
Liverpool will now face Brighton & Hove Albion in the next round of the competition as their defence of the trophy continues.
Read on for post-match reaction from the No.19 below, after he spoke to BBC Sport post-match...
On whether Liverpool 'deserved' to win...
Yeah, definitely, I feel like it was a good turnaround. The last few results haven't really gone our way, we haven't performed to the best of our ability, but I think tonight is a stepping stone for the next couple of games. We just need to take this into the next game on the weekend [versus Chelsea]. It's going to be a tough one, but this is the perfect way to go into the next game. We're full of confidence, and hopefully we can put it right at Anfield at home in the Premier League.

On his impressive match-winning goal...
I have been judged a bit on assists and goals and it is something I have definitely been working on. I felt like it was the right opportunity and thankfully it came off today. It's a big sign of relief, to be honest, I feel like personally I haven't been at my best after the World Cup. To get the goal is good for my confidence and hopefully I can take it into the weekend now.
On always wanting to shoot once the gap opened up...
Millie, I think, was screaming 'shoot' as well, so if he's screaming it then I'm just going to have to do it. But as I said, it's down to me really to provide assists and score goals. I feel like I had a perfect opportunity to do that. Maybe I'll speak to him after and he can encourage me a bit more to shoot because it definitely worked.
On the importance of building on the victory...
It's massive for us. The fans are a big help as well, they are always by our side no matter what. Personally, it's a massive thanks from the team and myself to them for sticking by us. We've got the best fans in the world and going to each and every game with the best support. For us it's massive, we just want to go out there and perform to the best of our abilities and put a show on for them. I know it was freezing tonight, so a big thanks and thankfully we could send them home happy.
On facing Brighton in the next round...
It will be another tough game. The chances they created against us [last weekend] and the performance we put in simply wasn't good enough. But it's a stepping stone, as I said, hopefully we can go in there fully confident and hopefully get another good result at the weekend – we just focus on the next game and as they come.
