Our brand-new, original series maps the life of a Liverpool FC legend, whose departure after eight seasons was met with an outpouring of sheer emotion.

From June 14, you can stream the first episode, titled The Boy From Maceio, on LFCTV GO. Two more instalments will follow in the same month.

The series takes viewers behind the scenes at Firmino’s home, as the No.9 and his wife Larissa, as well as their four daughters, prepare to leave Liverpool.

From there, the film moves to Maceio, his birthplace on the north-eastern coast of Brazil, where his parents, Marianna and Jose, look back on his childhood.

At his first school, we get a sense of a young Firmino, before coaches from Clube de Regatas Brasil, his first team, reflect on the star potential he exhibited.

Through unseen archive footage we witness a holding midfielder with an eye for a pass and watch his transition into a ruthless attacking threat.

We follow his trials and tribulations – and the profound effect they had on his relatives – as Bobby aims to carve out a career in football.

In the second episode, Firmino is flourishing in Florianopolis, shining with second-tier Figueirense, and yet a move to Hoffenheim is in the offing.

With the help of his sister, Marcella, we relive the immense uprooting, as a shy teenager travels 5,000 miles to his new home in a tiny German town.

Former teammates and supporters pay tribute to a samba star who shone in the Bundesliga, and captured the attention of Liverpool in the summer of 2015.
