Southampton and Liverpool meet at St Mary’s in the last eight on Wednesday night, with the Reds aiming to progress again having beaten West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion in their defence of the trophy so far this season.

The draw for the two-legged penultimate stage of the competition will take place after the quarter-final between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United on Thursday.

Live on Sky Sports, the draw is scheduled to begin at 10.30pm GMT.

Elsewhere in the quarter-finals, Arsenal host Crystal Palace and Newcastle United take on Brentford.
