Players and families from LFC International Academies in Texas and Singapore enjoyed an unforgettable experience when they visited the UK recently as part of an LFC Team Tour.

In separate trips toward the end of 2023, both groups enjoyed a visit to Liverpool which included training sessions delivered by experienced LFC coaches, not to mention a tour of our iconic home; Anfield.

Immersed in the legendary football culture of Liverpool, the players experienced a significant boost in their development, both on and off the pitch. The exposure to top-notch coaching, training facilities, and the Liverpool way left a permanent mark on everyone involved, supporting growth not just as players, but as individuals with a deeper understanding of what it means to represent LFC.

During their time in Liverpool, both groups took part in expertly crafted coaching sessions and workshops, delivered in line with the club’s coaching philosophy. The end of the week saw each player presented with a certificate and medal for their involvement.

Head of LFC IA Texas reflected on the visit saying: “Being able to provide an international tour to the LFC IA Texas players is definitely a life changing experience.

“We are extremely happy to have witnessed the growth and development of the players on the pitch, but also their development off the pitch.”

“This is another important step as we continue to develop and shape our players.”

Beyond the confines of the football pitch, the players were able to experience the vibrant culture Liverpool and beyond. The city's history, music, and passionate football scene as well as taking in some fixtures and a tour of Anfield became integral parts of their experience.

The players also had the opportunity to make a visit to the Football Museum in Manchester as well as an exciting trip to London.

LFC IA Singapore Head Coach said of their experience: “The tour to Liverpool in December was a fantastic experience for all our players and their families.

“The players loved every minute as they spent every morning training with their LFC coaches and their afternoons experiencing the history and culture of the city and the football club.

“Truly an experience that our players cherished as they made lifelong memories alongside their teammates and families.”

Both groups players returned home with not just memories of iconic stadiums and competitive matches, but also the lessons and experiences that only such a unique footballing journey can provide.
