LFC FoundationChampion of the Month: February 2024
Congratulations to Erin Eynon-Daly who is our Champion of the Month for February!
Erin was nominated for the award by LFC Foundation's Employability Coordinator, Carmel Carey-Shields for her fantastic ambition towards the Creative works programme.
Creative Works is an outcome-driven programme that focuses work experiences and opportunities within the creative industry. The programme enables participants to evaluate their existing skills and explore new creative pathways. It begins in schools and culminates in Creative Works Experience, which enables participants like Erin to meet industry specialists and recognise and realise their own talents.
Carmel said, “Erin has demonstrated commitment and a voracious enthusiasm to achieve and gain experience in the creative industry since participating in our Creative Works Experience. She was initially extremely reserved and lacking in confidence, yet she has taken every opportunity to gain experience and move beyond her comfort zone, challenging herself beyond expectation. This appetite and desire to gain new knowledge and skills has seen her connect with several creative partners, Everyman Theatre, Ripstone and LFCTV. “
Through Erin's work experience she gained confidence and clarity in her desired career path that she wants to follow and the impact has been clear to see as Erin has blossomed into a smiling, confident young woman who believes in her own capabilities.
Erin has made real connections with Ripstone and recently completed a couple of sessions on task with LFCTV. She now has a rich network of creative industries that will provide her with a bight future filled with opportunities.
Erin was delighted to receive COTM and was presented with her plaque at the stadium.
Erin said, “I am delighted to have received this plaque!"
"Being part of the Creative Works Experience last year opened my eyes to the breadth of creative industries out there. As a result of the programme, I connected with Gary King from Ripstone, which led to an internship working with his team there."
"This was a fantastic two-week opportunity where I was able to develop my skills with increasing levels of confidence, resulting in the discovery that there is potential for a career in video games!"
"Another opportunity arose as a direct result of the connection with Creative Works. I have worked with the LFCVTV team on a match day and gained fascinating experience as a result. Through the programme, I was also introduced The Everyman and Playhouse young writers’ team which continues to provide further opportunity to develop my writing skills."
"The Creative Works Experience was a catalyst for me to meet like-minded people with shared interests. It provided insight into employability and social interaction in a comfortable creative atmosphere”.
