NewsWSL at Anfield: Why Liverpool v Manchester City will be 'special' for Gemma Bonner

The Reds will host City in L4 in the first of three home Barclays Women’s Super League matches to be played at Anfield this season, with the game scheduled to kick off at 3pm BST on Sunday October 13.

Tickets are priced at just £10 for adults and £4 for juniors and are available here.

Speaking on the pitch at half-time of the men’s team’s Carabao Cup third-round win over West Ham United on Wednesday night, LFC Women defender Bonner said: “It’s an honour and a privilege to play at Anfield and we’re really excited about playing three games here this season.

“We really appreciate all the great support we get and the City game next month is our next home game. It’s going to be special.”

Bonner and her teammates began the new WSL campaign with a 1-1 draw with Leicester City last Sunday and now face three consecutive away fixtures across all competitions before the Manchester City game at Anfield.
