Out nowWatch 'Games of our Lives: Better Than Brazil' - a new LFC original
LFCTV commemorates 35 years since Liverpool's famous 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest in a brand-new, original documentary.
Games of our Lives: Better Than Brazil aired on the channel for the first time on Thursday April 13, and is available to watch at the top of the page and on LFCTV GO now.
The film reflects on a night Kenny Dalglish’s side demolished fellow title contenders Forest in a flamboyant Anfield display.
John Barnes and John Aldridge, who spearheaded the rout, give detailed analysis of a performance many believe remains Liverpool’s finest.
Broadcaster Graham Beecroft and supporter John Joynt look back on a tie that prompted Sir Tom Finney to bracket the Reds alongside Brazil’s formidable 1970 team.
And Daniel Taylor, award-winning journalist and writer for The Athletic, gives the Forest perspective, harking back to a time when the two teams were fierce rivals - and met each other three times in a fortnight.
Better Than Brazil is the second episode in LFCTV’s Games of our Lives series, which launched with Rush Scored Four in November 2022.
You can watch the first episode, which marked 40 years since Liverpool tore Everton apart at Goodison Park in 1982, here.
More instalments will be released throughout the year, shining a light on some of our greatest matches and unforgettable eras.
