VideoWatch: Dáire's inspiring story and special day with Jürgen Klopp
Dáire captured the hearts of millions – including Reds boss Klopp and his players – when he visited Anfield for the first time in September, with the help of the Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association, and footage of his powerful reaction to hearing You’ll Never Walk Alone was shared widely across social media.
The 12-year-old, who has the rare condition Crommelin Syndrome and is a full-time wheelchair user, and his family were subsequently personally invited back to Merseyside by Klopp earlier this month.
Dáire was present to see Liverpool produce a thrilling comeback to beat Fulham 4-3 at Anfield, a game that coincided with the UN’s annual International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The Gorman family then headed to the Reds’ training ground the following day to meet and chat with Klopp, as well as players including his hero Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah, before a guided tour of the facility by the manager.
Watch Dáire’s inspiring story and our footage from his unforgettable day at the AXA Training Centre in the video below.
