VideoWatch: Conor Bradley and Caoimhin Kelleher surprise youngsters at LFC Foundation community session
LFC Foundation’s partnership with the Steve Morgan Foundation provides a safe space for people to come together and improve the general health and wellbeing of the local community.
Bradley and Kelleher arrived to surprise the group and joined in with some of the activities before taking part in a Q&A, where the youngsters were able to gain an insight into their experiences as Liverpool footballers, their challenges and how they are able to overcome them.
Kelleher said: “I love working with LFC Foundation. It’s been really nice to come here today and see the kids, play some games with them and answer some questions.
“Programmes like this are really good for kids, especially for their mental health, and the Foundation plays a big part in that. We’ve been learning about how the Steve Morgan Foundation helps as well so it’s really good to have their support.”
Bradley added: “It means a lot to be down here. Whenever you come here and see the smiles on the youngsters’ faces it’s always nice. It means a lot to come down and support when we can.”
LFC Foundation’s work with the Steve Morgan Foundation focuses on three key areas, including health and wellbeing, inclusion and employability.
Initiatives funded by the partnership include the hubs programme, social inclusion football through the Premier League Kicks programme, SEND provision in schools, and the works employability programme.
