WatchVideo: Jürgen Klopp welcomes Eurovision to Liverpool
The city is hosting the world-famous event for the first time, and it's especially significant because it's on behalf of Ukraine, a country that made Liverpool supporters feel so welcome in 2018, when the Reds travelled to the wonderful city of Kyiv to play in the UEFA Champions League final.
Speaking ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest, which kicks off with a spectacular opening concert at the city's St George's Hall tonight, Klopp said: "We all will have a great time, we are looking forward to it and to welcome all of the people from all over the world to have a great time here in Liverpool.
"It's all about enjoying your time and having the best time you can. On behalf of all of us, very welcome to Liverpool and have the best time ever."
LFC continues to support the great efforts by the team behind Eurovision, our city and, of course, Ukraine. The club is delighted to be involved in these celebrations to showcase all that is great about Liverpool and the city's strong ethos of working together.
