News'That's Liverpool!' - Wataru Endo analyses Reds' spirit in comeback at Newcastle
The No.3 made his full debut for the Reds in the 2-1 come-from-behind win at St. James' Park, playing the opening 58 minutes of the Premier League clash.
Darwin Nunez's two goals late on clinched the three points for the visitors after Virgil van Dijk was sent off just a few minutes on from Anthony Gordon's opener for the Magpies in the first half.
Asked how it felt to be part of the side that secured the memorable result, Endo told Liverpoolfc.com post-match: "An amazing feeling actually.
"It was a very difficult game and we had to play with 10 men, so it's a very tough game for me but I'm so happy to win this game.
"For me, it was very tough but I just tried to do my best. Defensively, after [we went down] to 10 men I just tried to help us not concede. That was my job and, of course, I can be better.
"Second half, it was very tough but I just tried to do my best and we just kept [it at] 1-0 – that was a very important thing, I think.
"I think that's Liverpool. Even though we play with 10 men, we still have a chance to win that game.
"This was an amazing feeling and we have very strong offensive players."
