ReactionTaylor Hinds: We need to come back in the New Year and be positive
The Reds were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal on Sunday afternoon at St Helens Stadium to close out the year in the Barclays Women's Super League.
Matt Beard's squad have had several injuries to contend with during the opening phase of the campaign, though will be aiming for a change in fortune in the New Year once the season resumes.
Vice-captain Hinds is hoping the festive break can provide something of a reset for Liverpool in a bid for the team to kick on when January rolls around.
"I think you can see that [performances are improving] and we've got some fundamentals," she told Sky Sports post-match. "We just need to produce the final product and when we have our chances take them.
"We need to be scoring goals and obviously the table is getting a bit tight now. We just need to come back in the New Year and be positive."

On her reflections on the Arsenal defeat...
It's frustrating. I think we put on a good performance, especially in the second half. We were putting pressure on so to lose to a set-piece as well, which is one of our strengths, is really frustrating.
On Arsenal's goal...
Bon [Gemma Bonner] I think got the first contact and then it's just we need to be quicker to react to the second ball. It's frustrating but there's a lot of positives to take from today's performance.
On the team meeting that was held with the squad...
I think it was refreshing. I think that's one thing is that as a team we are a family. Through the highs and the lows we always stick together. That's not just the players but the staff as well so sometimes you may just need to regroup and have a conversation with each other and air it out. It's always positive.
On how much she's relishing taking the armband as vice-captain...
It's an honour to be vice-captain for this club. Niamh [Fahey] takes the leadership role as well and me being able to step up. It's just an honour and this team is amazing. I love these girls and the club as well.
