LFC WomenTaylor Hinds voted December's Standard Chartered Player of the Month
The 22-year-old was part of a defence that kept clean sheets in their two fixtures during the month, securing progress in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup and to the quarter-finals of the Continental League Cup.
The latest fan vote made it a double for the left-sided wing-back, who also scooped the award after a stellar month in November.
Accepting her Standard Chartered trophy, Hinds told Liverpoolfc.com: “I’m proud of myself and proud of the team for how we’ve been performing.
“It’s credit to the team and that just boosts my confidence and helps me to perform even better as well.
“I think from now until the end of the season it’s going to be so competitive and we have the opportunity to play in the cup against a WSL side [Tottenham Hotspur Women].
“We’ve had a long enough break now, so hopefully we can come back refreshed. It was a good session coming back together, everyone is excited to be back on the pitch – this is what we love doing.”
The Reds sit top of the FA Women’s Championship ahead of Sunday’s trip to Blackburn Rovers Ladies, a team who managed to leave Prenton Park with a point earlier in the season.
Hinds continued: “Being top of the table just gives us even more motivation to get back on the pitch and get three points every week. Every game now is going to be such a tough game, just like every game in the first half of the season has been.
“It’s just about staying focused and not taking our foot off the pedal. We’re a humble team and that helps us keep our standards high.”
