The Liverpool midfielder will spend 2024-25 with the Austrian Bundesliga side after a deal was finalised on deadline day.
Bajcetic links up with former Reds assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders, who was appointed head coach of Salzburg in the summer.
He also follows Bobby Clark, who sealed a permanent switch to Die Roten Bullen earlier this month.
Salzburg currently lead the Austrian Bundesliga standings after starting the season with three wins from three while, on Tuesday, they secured a place in the Champions League league phase after defeating Dynamo Kyiv 3-1 on aggregate in the play-off round.
