NewsStat: Three in a row for Luis Diaz after scoring Liverpool's opener v Brentford
By Glenn Price at Anfield
The Colombian, on his 100th appearance for the club, opened the scoring against Brentford on Sunday, applying the finishing touch to a rapid counter-attack in the 13th minute.
It meant Diaz again got the Reds off and running at Anfield in a top-flight campaign, having produced his team's home openers in 2023-24 (AFC Bournemouth) and 2022-23 (Crystal Palace).
Thirteen of the forward's 17 goals in the Premier League have been in L4.
