The draw for the competition's new format pitted the Reds against the following clubs:
- RB Leipzig
- Real Madrid
- Bayer Leverkusen
- AC Milan
- Lille
- PSV Eindhoven
- Bologna
- Girona
Arne Slot's men will play Real Madrid, Leverkusen, Lille and Bologna at Anfield.
The meetings with Leipzig, Milan, PSV and Girona will be away from home.

The sides who finish in the top eight of the table for the 36-team league phase will directly qualify for the Round of 16.
Those who finish from ninth to 24th will enter the knockout round play-offs, with the eight winners from those ties advancing to the last 16.
