A milestone Premier League victory

Liverpool became just the fourth Premier League side to reach a top-flight milestone on Saturday night.

The 1-0 victory over West Ham at Anfield was the Reds' 600th win of the Premier League era.

Mane's 27th-minute strike was enough to earn all three points as the result ensured Liverpool kept hot on the heels of Pep Guardiola's Man City.

The club joined Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea in reaching the landmark.

Trent smashes personal tally

Trent Alexander-Arnold provided yet another sublime ball into the area to help Mane open the scoring in L4.

The right-back recorded his 11th Premier League assist of the campaign in the first half against West Ham, moving above teammate Mohamed Salah to hit top spot in the assists table outright.

It was also his 16th assist of the season across all competitions, which means he has now produced the best return of his career to date as we enter a busy March period.

Alexander-Arnold surpassed his notching of 15 assists in both the 2018-19 and 2019-20 campaigns with Mane's goal.

Van Dijk adds to stunning run

Virgil van Dijk maintained a somewhat ridiculous Anfield run on Saturday, making it 60 games unbeaten for the Reds on home soil.

The Dutch centre-back set a Premier League record for most home games for a single team without losing in the league.

He has won 52 times and drawn on eight occasions in a Liverpool shirt at Anfield, never tasting defeat in that period.

Mane strikes again

Mane made it five goals in his last five games in Premier League action – taking his tally to 12 for the season.

He also kept up his strong record against the Hammers overall, bagging his sixth goal in seven matches against the London outfit.

Salah, though, must wait to see if he can notch a 20th league goal of the season as he failed to find the back of the net in a tight affair at Anfield.

Klopp maintains double record

An impressive record for Jürgen Klopp will survive yet another season.

The Reds boss has never suffered a league double defeat during his Liverpool tenure, and he kept that intact against West Ham.

Klopp has seen his side lose just twice this season, in the reverse fixture at the London Stadium and at the hands of Leicester City – who saw their chance to inflict a double on Liverpool fall short last month.

The win means the head coach will see out the 2021-22 campaign yet again having failed to taste defeat to the same team both home and away.
