NewsReds duo help Republic of Ireland reach first Women's World Cup
The Liverpool FC Women duo each played the full game as Ireland secured a 1-0 win over Scotland in their play-off final at Hampden Park.
Reds goalkeeper Eartha Cumings was an unused substitute for the hosts.
The result confirmed Ireland’s progress to next year’s tournament, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 19 to August 20.
Elsewhere in the play-offs, there was disappointment for LFC Women’s Ceri Holland and Rhiannon Roberts as Wales were thwarted by Switzerland.
Roberts put her country ahead with a 19th-minute goal in Zurich but the Swiss completed a comeback in extra-time stoppage time to win 2-1 and take the ticket to the World Cup.
