WatchRecord-breaking Anfield win finishes second in best PL games poll
A record-breaking victory at Anfield has been voted into second place in our countdown of Liverpool's top five Premier League games.
To mark the 30th year of Carlsberg's partnership with the club, we recently asked supporters to pick their favourite top-flight contest during that timeframe.
The Reds recorded their biggest-ever win in the Premier League, and equalled the division's largest victory, by routing AFC Bournemouth 9-0 in August 2022 - and that match takes runner-up spot in the poll.
Jürgen Klopp's team were rampant in the late-summer L4 sunshine and began the game at breakneck speed, leading 2-0 inside the opening six minutes as Luis Diaz headed home before Harvey Elliott curled in his first Premier League goal in some style.
Trent Alexander-Arnold's laser-guided long-range hit made it three, with Roberto Firmino quickly adding number four and Virgil van Dijk nodding in a fifth just before the break.
Liverpool simply did not relent after the interval. Chris Mepham's own goal moments after the restart added to the Cherries' woes and Firmino increased the advantage to 7-0 around the hour mark.
Fabio Carvalho then grabbed his first goal for the club and Diaz rounded off an emphatic performance.
Savour the game again in the video above and stay tuned to Liverpoolfc.com to discover the winner on Saturday.
