Interview'Put the song on!' - Federico Chiesa shares his brilliant reaction to first sight of Anfield
Federico Chiesa has already been envisaging the feeling of walking out to 'You'll Never Walk Alone' at Anfield as a Liverpool player.
That dream will soon become reality for the Italian forward after he completed a transfer to the Reds from Juventus.
When flying into Merseyside to conclude the formalities of the switch, Chiesa caught a glimpse of the club's iconic home and appropriately marked the moment.
During his first interview as a Red, the new No.14 explained to Liverpoolfc.com: "And I just want to say something that stuck to my mind when I was about to land [in] the aeroplane.
"I saw Anfield and as soon as I saw Anfield I said to my wife, 'Put the song on – You'll Never Walk Alone – because I want to imagine myself playing there and hearing the chant of the fans.' It was just a fun bit."
Asked how it will feel when he does that for real, Chiesa replied: "I will have shivers and it will be so emotional for me and for my family."
