Only four Reds have scored a winning goal against United in the competition – Daniel Cunliffe (1898), Harry Chambers (1921), Peter Crouch (2006) and Dirk Kuyt (2012).
Each of the last nine ties between the sides, dating back to 1960, have been decided by a one-goal margin.
This is the 15th time the clubs have been drawn together in the FA Cup. Only Everton have been paired with Liverpool on more occasions – 19.
The Reds have scored 12 times in their last four trips to Old Trafford – the same total they produced in the 13 visits prior.
The teams have met on March 17 once before, playing out a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in the second leg of a Europa League last-16 tie back in 2016 that gave Liverpool a 3-1 aggregate victory.
The Reds are unbeaten in the last six games they have played on St. Patrick's Day since a 2-0 loss at CSKA Sofia in 1982.
Liverpool are aiming to reach their 26th FA Cup semi-final.
Klopp has used 25 players for the three FA Cup ties so far this season, with Wataru Endo and Mohamed Salah yet to appear. Only Jarell Quansah has played every minute.
Should Endo feature, it will take the number of players who have been involved in the competition during Klopp's reign to 97.
United are the last team to prevent Liverpool from scoring. Since their goalless league draw in December, Klopp's men have scored in 20 consecutive matches, making it 54 of the last 55 outings.
