MatchThe opposition lowdown: Fulham

Recent form

Fulham's pursuit of European qualification was dealt a blow in midweek when they lost 2-1 to Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

Marco Silva's side have won two of their last five league fixtures, beating Wolverhampton Wanderers and then Tottenham Hotspur.

They were eliminated from the Emirates FA Cup last weekend at the quarter-final stage following a 3-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace.

Key players

Raul Jimenez is the team's top scorer so far this season with 12 goals in all competitions. Fellow forward Rodrigo Muniz is not too far behind on 10.

Their creativity tends to be provided from the left-back spot by Antonee Robinson.

Only Mohamed Salah (17) has registered more assists in the Premier League thus far in 2024-25 than the USA international (10).

Team news

Fulham could welcome back defender Kenny Tete to their squad for the first time since December following a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury.

Harry Wilson and Reiss Nelson, however, remain out for the hosts.

Previous meetings

The reverse fixture ended in a 2-2 draw after 10-man Liverpool battled back at Anfield.

Andreas Pereira opened the scoring in the 11th minute before Andy Robertson was sent off. Muniz restored the visitors' lead in the second half after Cody Gakpo had equalised, but Diogo Jota came off the bench to salvage a point.

The Reds visited Craven Cottage twice last season, winning 3-1 in the Premier League in April after a 1-1 scoreline in the second leg of a Carabao Cup semi-final.

What they said

Silva

"The impact of the manager is always important. It wasn't just any manager that left them, it was a manager who was there 10 years with a massive, massive impact on almost everything that was built in the football club.

"Jürgen [Klopp] was a very, very important piece, and when the club went in a different direction, the impact of the manager is always going to be important. [Arne] Slot has made that impact.

"For me, one of the main things about Liverpool so far this season is how they have been consistent. They have been really consistent in the Premier League. You don't see them have too many down moments, and when they do they are always able to react.

"It's not a coincidence that they have spent most of the time on top of the table. We can all agree that if nothing very special happens then they are going to have a celebration at the end of the season.

"They are consistent, they haven't lost an away Premier League game so far this season, which shows what I am talking about."
