Junior Members, aged five to 12, could enter by writing a summary of the Reds’ 4-0 win over Arsenal on November 20, which coincided with World Children’s Day.

Entrants submitted their reports on how they thought Jürgen Klopp’s team performed, who their favourite player was, and how they would have told the side to play if they were the manager.

Olly, a nine-year-old Red Squad Member, was selected as the winner and you can read the match report below…

A few early chances for Liverpool and a goal ruled out for Arsenal in a fairly quiet first 30 mins.

A touchline tussle saw both Jürgen and Arteta receive a yellow. Arteta was claiming a red for Mane after a challenge. Jürgen was not pleased, to put it mildly, with this and made his feelings known. Both managers had to be held back by staff. This incident seemed to spark the Anfield faithful into life and inject passion into the men in red.

1-0 Liverpool with 39 minutes in the first half played. Liverpool found the opener from a free-kick from Trent headed home by Sadio. The opening goal could have been a lot earlier but Aaron Ramsdale made great save after great save, keeping the Gunners in it. He showed why he could be England’s No.1.

GOAL 2-0. In the 52nd minute a poor backpass from Tavares and Jota sent White for a hotdog and slid the ball past Ramsdale and calmly slotted it into the back of the net in front of the full chorus Kop.

GOAL 3-0. With 73 minutes gone Mo gets on the scoresheet. He got his 11th Premier League goal this season. Jota headed the ball into the path of an on-running Sadio, whose first touch probably wasn't what he wanted but made up for it with the great cross to Mo and all he had to do was guide it into the back of the net.

GOAL 4-0. Just minutes after the third Liverpool make it 4-0 up thanks to Minamino. Mo laying it on to Trent, who crossed to give Taki lad a straightforward tap-in with his first touch of the game.

Then youngster Tyler Morton came on for Thiago to make his Premier League debut. The things dreams are made of for any Liverpool fan!

It finished 4-0 Liverpool. Arsenal played well early first half but Liverpool without a doubt deserved the three points. This sees Liverpool move into second behind Chelsea and in front of Man City, who tomorrow play Everton.

My Man of the Match is a difficult choice between Sadio and Mo. Despite a goal and an assist from Sadio the performance of Salah just edges it for me. He looked really dangerous all 90 minutes, got his almost customary goal and his tireless running for the team showed why he is the best player on the planet.

Klopp had the players fired up for the second half, who came out and blew Arsenal away in the end. Three fist pumps in front of the Kop ended the night with three points for Liverpool.
