NewsNiamh Fahey injury update
The No.5 is dealing with a calf issue, in the only new injury concern for the Reds in the build-up to the Barclays Women’s Super League clash.
LFC Women manager Matt Beard is expected to be back on the touchline for the 12.15pm GMT kick-off at Leigh Sports Village after illness.
“Matt is a little bit better today, certainly much better than he was [on] Wednesday and we are expecting him to be back for training on Saturday,” said assistant manager Amber Whiteley.
“The one that we are managing day by day is Niamh Fahey, who has just got a bit of a tight calf, so we will see how she is for Sunday, but [she is] the only one that is doubtful. Everyone else is looking good.
“Jas Matthews is making really good progress [on a hamstring injury] and is on track to be back in after Christmas, so we are in a really good place squad-wise.”
