AnnouncementNew faces set to return to Anfield for LFC Legends v Man Utd
The game will take place in aid of the club's official charity, LFC Foundation, and the Reds team will be looking to secure another win over their rivals.
The fixture takes place on Saturday September 24 with kick-off at 3pm BST, as Liverpool bid to be crowned Legends of the North.
Robbie Keane will be making his return to Anfield and debut in the LFC Legends squad, and he will be joined by Steve McManaman, Jerzy Dudek, Momo Sissoko and Bjorn Tore Kvarme, with more players to be announced soon.
In May, the Reds took victory in the first leg of the Legends of the North clash at Old Trafford by beating Manchester United Legends 3-1.
Sir Kenny Dalglish will return to manage the LFC Legends side with support from Ian Rush.
One hundred per cent of the proceeds raised from the fixture, which is brought to you by LFC Foundation in association with Forever Reds – the official LFC former players association – will support LFC Foundation.
The funds raised will support a variety of programmes, including #iWill – a young person's social action movement – plus local community and football projects.
Charity partners Cash for Kids and IntoUniversity will also receive donations to support their outstanding work across the Liverpool City Region.
Forever Reds, among other things, provides support to the club's former players in need of care and will also receive a proportion of the proceeds.
Matt Parish, chief executive of LFC Foundation, said: "The excitement is really starting to build now ahead of the deciding leg of the Legends of the North fixture at Anfield next month.
"Our official legends fixtures are always big, fun-filled occasions that enable us to raise important funds to support our various programmes and charity partners that help thousands of young people and families across the Liverpool City Region.
"We have a host of new and exciting LFC Legends retuning to Anfield in support of the LFC Foundation, which will undoubtedly result in a competitive and entertaining afternoon of football for all to enjoy."
