Vote nowMohamed Salah nominated for Premier League Player of the Month award
By Sam Williams
Liverpool’s No.11 has been recognised as one of the top flight’s outstanding performers in August; a month during which he scored in both of his team’s opening two matches of the new season.
Salah set up Diogo Jota for the first goal of the Arne Slot era, against Ipswich Town, before adding the second in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory at Portman Road. He then struck again as Brentford were beaten by the same scoreline at Anfield.
The Egyptian is up against Erling Haaland, Bryan Mbeumo, Amadou Onana, Cole Palmer, David Raya, Bukayo Saka and Danny Welbeck for the accolade.
